Education & Credentials
Dr. Richard Bwana Ombachi did his undergraduate training at the University of Nairobi and did his postgraduate training obtaining MMed (Surgery) Degree from the same Institution.
He then proceeded to the University of Cape Town for a Fellowship training in Spine and Orthopaedics Surgery at the Groote Schuur Hospital, Cape Town, South Africa.
Currently, he is a Lecturer at the University of Nairobi and the head of the Spine Unit, Kenyatta National Hospital. He is actively involved in the undergraduate and postgraduate training at the University of Nairobi and the Provision of Spine Surgery services at Kenyatta National Hospital.
Areas of Specialty
His area of speciality in spine surgery includes trauma, degenerative, infective, deformity and tumour surgery.
Dr. Richard Bwana Ombachi runs part-time consultancy services in the spine and orthopaedic surgery at the Nairobi Spine and Orthopaedic Centre as well as the Doctors Plaza, Kenyatta National Hospital. He admits to Nairobi Hospital, Aga Khan University Hospital, The Mater Hospital, MP Shah Hospital among other hospitals.
